Membership Process for Coaches

STEP ONE
  • Complete all compliance requirements from US Ski & Snowboard:
  • Background check (complete on or after your 18th birthday)
  • Safesport Training (complete immediately)
  • Avalanche Training (complete immediately)
  • Enroll in Sport Education Academy at Bronze Level (complete immediately)
  • Coaching Fundamentals (if first time coach) (complete immediately)

FIRST TIME CERTIFICATION

  • Complete the sport specific coach certification modules.
  • Complete before registering for an in-person assessment.
  • Review the assessment criteria.
  • Register for an in-person assessment.
    Complete the “Coach Certification Post-Assessment Survey”

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR ALEADY CERTIFIED COACHES 

  • Earn 10 continuing education credits annually to maintain coach certification. 

Input your US Ski & Snowboard membership ID into the required field for your USASA Membership.
Ensure name matches US Ski & Snowboard membership EXACTLY (include middle initial if there is one).
